A few months ago I excitedly announced a new project I was starting to take on - a full length documentary about the war in Iraq and the troops who have witnessed it first hand. Thanks to those who agreed to be part of the documentary and those of you who helped in other ways I was able to film interviews with Iraq veterans and not only learn a lot about the Iraq war, but also get footage that I hope will help the public better understand the Iraq war and it's effects on our troops returning from the frontlines. Thanks to those who have bought the PeaceTakesCourage I.D. Tags along with my personal savings from the past year I've been able to fund all of the filming, necessary equipment needed for the filming process, and the travel expenses that come with traveling for the interviews. Now it's come to a crucial part of the process of turning this footage into a documentary - the editing.
Because it did cost so much during the filming process my funds for this documentary have begun to run dry. This film is a completely independent film that isn't being funded by any production company and because of that our budget has already been skin-tight.
Now I'm asking you to help finish up this project that I think will be an important wake-up call to the public about war and it's effects on our troops we send to the frontlines. Please consider buying one or more of the tags to help us get there and help what I believe will be an important film get out to the American public. That is why I'm having the first PeaceTakesCourage fundraiser and setting a goal of $10,000 for the final stages of this film production. If only half of the people who visit this website buy one or more of the PeaceTakesCourage I.D. tags we will reach this goal in no time at all.
Thanks for your support,
Ava Lowery
